The film picks up when Tim is released at age 21, seemingly "cured" and convinced that the family tragedy was the result of mental illness and domestic abuse. However, Kaylie has spent the last decade tracking down the mirror. She has researched its 300-year history of gruesome deaths and has devised an elaborate experiment to prove its supernatural power and then destroy it. She sets up the mirror in their childhood

As the night progresses, the mirror begins to warp their perception of time and space. The siblings find themselves caught in "perception loops" where they cannot trust their own senses. The film picks up when Tim is released

As the police arrive—mirrors of the scene from eleven years prior—Tim is once again taken away in a squad car, screaming that the mirror is responsible, while the Lasser Glass remains pristine and unbroken, having claimed its latest victims.
